For Intervention in Overpressure / Underpressure

Pressure relief valve for intervention in overpressure / underpressure,
used in the plants in different productive sections,
in different versions,
ranging from carbon steel to stainless steel AISI 304.

Mix pressure relief valve type SSM250[][] is able to give vent to the overpressures, avoiding breaks of containers, as well as to allow air from the outside environment into the container in case of underpressure, avoiding the crushing of the container because of the implosion.

The valve is supplied with the predisposition for no.2 inductive limit switches (version “K”). The valve can be equipped with the sensor (version “L”) indicating the operation of expulsion/ immission of air, joining up safety and information, so that the causes of the anomalies can be eliminated.

The possible versions are the following:
- SSM250[]A1: Parts in contact with the product are in carbon steel, protected by electrolytic galvanisation; cover in aluminium;
- SSM250[]A2: Parts in contact with the product and cover are in stainless steel AISI 304, parts not in contact with the product are in carbon steel, protected by electrolytic galvanization;
- SSM250[]A4: All parts are in stainless steel AISI 304.

The valve is suitable for being placed on containers in underpressure/pressure (not subjected to any test nor special regulations). The valve preserves equipments, silos, hoppers, filters from overpressure / underpressure.
In case the environment and operator should be preserved, it is necessary to use specific valves for the purpose.

Pressure relief valve is planned for working when there is an anomalous pressure in a tank, and must be considered as a safety device. When installed in a plant which has been planned in a correct way and is regularly maintained, the valve should never let out, if the pressure inside the tank does not exceed the valve calibration. This valve has never to be considered as a breather.

Valve SSM250[][] has very reduced dimensions, can be installed also upon small containers or dosing systems, and is used in different industries: Food - Chemical / Pharmaceutical - Building - Ecology - Industry - Laboratory - Feedstuff.

The aim of MIX process engineers, thanks to their high experience and knowledge of technique and applications, is to analyse each process, in order to supply the customer with the more balanced technical solution.
